Sakina Itoo, the minister of school education, announced Monday that the administration will ask the public for input on restoring the November session in Kashmir Valley schools. Speaking to media at the opening ceremony of the Government College for Women MA road Srinagar's 2-Day Science Congress, which was conducted in partnership with the department of Science and Technology, Sakina Itoo stated that the department would review the matter. "We will talk about whether or not to reinstate the November session with all parties involved. The matter will be made public, and we will proceed in accordance with any recommendations and comments made by the general public, Sakina Itoo stated.
Despite being in charge of the departments of Higher Education (HED), Health and Medical Education (H&ME), and Social Welfare, Itoo pretended not to be aware of the drop in college enrolment. Regarding the drop in college student enrolment, I don't have any reports. During the review meeting, I will talk to the department about the problem," she stated.However, Sakina Itoo stated that the position was difficult at the moment because the departments—whether they be the education, social welfare, or health departments—are facing numerous challenges.
A lot has happened in the past ten years, and significant work is required to get things back on track. at reference to the lack of basic infrastructure at government schools in J&K, she stated, "It is not impossible for us as we are hopeful that we will do it and address all the issues." The minister stated that she has already received reports of certain situations involving the problems and challenges faced by students enrolled in outside colleges under PMSSS and that the department will discuss them. "I've already learnt a little bit about the problems that the students enrolled in PMSSS are facing. The Higher Education Department and I have arranged a review meeting where this matter will be examined"she said
