Putting an end to weeks of uncertainty and anxiety for lakhs of students, the Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) is all set to declare the results for both Class 10th and Class 12th examinations on January 14, 2026 (Wednesday).
The official confirmation came from Education Minister Sakina Itoo, who announced the decision in an exclusive interaction with Greater Kashmir.
Double Declaration on the Same Day
In a significant move to ease student stress and prevent further academic delays, the government has decided to release the results for both classes on the same day.
“We understand that students have been waiting for their results for a long time. Therefore, we decided that the results of both Class 10th and 12th will be declared on Wednesday,” Sakina Itoostated.
Result Timing Schedule
According to JKBOSE officials, the results will be released in two shifts on Wednesday:
Class 10th Results: Expected to be declared in the Morning.
Class 12th Results: Expected to be declared in the Late Afternoon.
End to Prolonged Delays
This announcement comes as a major relief to students and parents across the Jammu, Kashmir, and Ladakh regions. The results had faced prolonged delays primarily due to the vacant post of the JKBOSE Chairman, which has remained unfilled for nearly a year. This administrative vacuum had led to rising anxiety among students regarding their future academic planning.
Students are advised to keep their roll numbers ready and check the official JKBOSE website on Wednesday, January 14, 2026.
